Elizabeth Castro, LISW, LCSW
Elizabeth Castro, LISW, LCSW, is a bilingual (English/Spanish) independently licensed social worker with a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. She is committed to providing compassionate, culturally competent care to individuals—children (ages 10+), adolescents, and adults—using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed interventions.
Originally from Wooster, Elizabeth recently returned to the area after her husband completed 10 years of military service in the Army. They are now raising four children, ages 6 to 17. Elizabeth’s clinical expertise includes crisis intervention, individual therapy, and support during life transitions. She is skilled in conducting comprehensive risk assessments, case management, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
Her background includes extensive work with vulnerable populations, including unaccompanied immigrant children, military families, and college students—most recently at The College of Wooster. Elizabeth specializes in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety, with a strong focus on culturally sensitive services tailored to diverse communities.
Through her experience in both clinical and crisis settings, Elizabeth has developed a compassionate and grounded approach to supporting clients through life’s challenges. Whether in individual or group therapy, she strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore emotions, build resilience, and foster healing and personal growth—in both English and Spanish.
