Emily Engman, MSW, LISW-S
Emily provides therapeutic services to families and children experiencing challenges with emotional, behavioral, and family systems. She utilizes TBRI (Trust Based Relational Interventions) and NMT (Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics) methods. Emily also provides therapeutic services to individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, and transitioning into new phases of life. Emily considers each individual in the context of their environment to ensure that she is providing the best possible course of treatment and support. Emily focuses on practical solutions to support individuals with their unique life experiences.
Inspired by her work experiences, Emily and her husband became foster and adoptive parents in 2010, with a desire to foster sibling groups to keep them together. Since that time, they have adopted three children and have fostered more than thirty children in their home. Her personal and professional experiences have enhanced Emily’s ability to relate to families and caregivers. She provides a positive approach to therapy that empowers individuals in their treatment and encourages families to connect with their children, even in crisis.
