COVID-19

Wednesday, March 25, 2020

All of our staff hope to be a source of calm and support to you during this health emergency. We are committed to continuing service to our clients and the community throughout this time.  We are taking many steps to ensure everyone's health and safety, as well as ensuring the security of your personal information and your right to confidentiality. The following are changes we will be implementing temporarily to support physical distancing meant to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Our Electronic Health Record system, Simple Practice, has a built-in, HIPAA compliant video conferencing system that can easily be accessed through your patient portal.  We began reaching out last week to major health insurance companies to learn if they will pay for such services at the same rates as in-person services. For clients on one of Ohio’s Medicaid plans, Governor DeWine’s office will be filing emergency Medicaid rules to make this easier and simpler for clients and staff alike.  We will inform clients when and how these rules are effective. Please speak with your therapist to determine their readiness to provide this service.  Staff have been training and familiarizing themselves with the necessary equipment, but this will be an adjustment for everyone.

We understand that this is a very stressful experience for everyone and we will do our best to stay abreast of best practices and ways to continue meeting your needs, while also keeping you and our staff safe.
