Jim Foley, MSW, LISW-S
Counseling is an opportunity to partner in the process of helping you understand, heal, and change. Giving you the opportunity to build the life you want, engage more joyfully and successfully with the world, and to find peace of mind. I look forward to supporting you on this journey.
I have experience helping people with some specific areas, such as autism, anxiety, anger, ADHD, and parenting, have helped people with emotional and relational challenges that can come with brain injury, dementia caregiving, bullying, gender identity, giftedness, and more. Regardless of the presenting challenge, I will strive to understand your unique experience and priorities. The process of psychotherapy, like physical therapy, can sometimes be uncomfortable as you build strength and flexibility to be ready for the life you want, but I will use your feedback to keep the process safe and moving at a pace that’s comfortable to you.
Before joining Chrysalis, I was a supervisor and trainer of counselors and therapists, consultant to physicians and educators, as well as providing direct service to youth and families, including in the school setting and in psychiatric practice. I also spent years doing general community education on mental health and wellness. Now, I’m returning to my roots as a psychotherapist to focus on providing clinical services to individuals, couples, and families. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you.
