1) Add Variety to Breakup Routines
A study published by Nature Neuroscience explains variety can be the change you need to increase your level of happiness. Just a small change in your routine can bring the benefits. This could be trying new ingredients while cooking, a new exercise each week, or doing activities at different times or on different days.
2) Choose Some Experiences
Some studies have shown investing in experiences can lead to longer-term happiness, where buying a material object may offer shorter-term happiness. The experience can be simple to get the effects, like eating at a restaurant, visiting an art museum, or watching a movie at the theater.
3) Green Spaces
A study on urban green space (outdoor parks, rivers, gardens) published by EPJ Data Science found people's happiness correlated with the amount of available green space. Spend time enjoying local green spaces or create your own by gardening, hanging house plants, and hanging photos of nature.
